A law firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Tax Associate Attorney or Counsel with significant experience in partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or tax considerations related to real estate investments. Knowledge of state and local tax laws is advantageous, as is experience with tax-exempt organizations. Large law firm experience is preferred for this role. The Senior Tax Associate Attorney or Counsel will be responsible for providing expert advice and counsel on complex tax matters, with a focus on partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or real estate investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent research, writing, and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

 

Duties:

  • Provide expert advice and counsel on partnership taxation, mergers, and acquisitions, or tax considerations related to real estate investments
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues
  • Draft legal documents, opinions, and memoranda
  • Assist with tax planning and structuring for clients
  • Represent clients in tax-related disputes and negotiations
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience working on tax matters with federal and state elements
  • Significant experience in partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or real estate investments
  • Knowledge of state and local tax laws (preferred)
  • Experience with tax-exempt organizations (preferred)
  • Bar admission required

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
  • Bar Admission
