Property Tax Senior - Multistate

Salary Information:

Experience Information:
- 3+ years of experience in property tax and/or with property tax assessors.
- 2+ years of experience preparing state and local property tax returns.
- Previous consulting experience from a large property tax organization is preferred.

Position Summary:
- Seeking a Senior Tax professional with experience in Property Tax to join a team of over 1,000 professionals nationwide.
- The Multistate Tax Services group is one of the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practices in the United States.
- The Property Tax services group helps clients plan and manage personal property tax compliance in a streamlined and tax-efficient way.

Responsibilities:
- Provide state and local property tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industries.
- Conduct research on state and local property tax legislation and assist with drafting client responses and memos.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and workflow improvements.
- Make recommendations for engagement workflow management and mentor tax consultants and interns.
- Review and prepare client billings and account reconciliations.
- Assist with drafting proposals for new and existing clients.
- Act as a liaison between the Firm's in-house tax return preparation team and the clients' tax department.
- Perform detailed technical reviews of property tax returns on select engagements.
- Provide guidance to clients on complex, commercial, real, and personal property tax issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- One of the following accreditations is required: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, or CMI/MAI/ASA/CRE/CCIM/Licensed Texas Senior Property Tax Consultant.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
