Job Title: Head of Legal

Location: Kansas City, MO (or remote in various states)

Salary: $165k-$200k base salary with 20% annual incentive plan, full-time benefits

Experience: Juris Doctor degree, 10+ years of legal experience, experience with tax-exempt organizations


Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and consultation on compliance, governance, and legal management matters
- Manage outside legal counsel and other third-party resources
- Oversee a team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Team, group entities, and Board of Directors
- Drive key operational improvements and projects in line with legal and internal policy requirements
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive effort and delivery of business outcomes


Requirements:

- 10+ years of legal experience in . corporate and/or contract law
- Professional experience with tax-exempt organizations
- Proficient in English (written and verbal)
