Job Overview:

The Labor And Employment Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in labor and employment law matters. They will collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional legal services, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in litigation proceedings.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in labor and employment law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client counsel.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and other pleadings.
  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to build a thriving legal practice.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure a client-first approach in handling cases.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in labor and employment law.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to the California Bar.
  • 1-7 years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • General civil litigation experience required; preference for labor and employment litigation experience.
  • Spanish language fluency.
  • Prior experience in agriculture, transportation/logistics, manufacturing, or the service industry is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
