Requirements:

  • Significant courtroom experience in motions practice, contested matters, and/or adversary proceedings.
  • Experience in taking or materially assisting in the preparation of numerous depositions.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Previous experiences that prepare the attorney to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding law school credentials and references.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights, and insolvency-related litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions.
  • Proficiency in research, writing, courtroom advocacy, and transactional document drafting.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for admission.
