Job Overview: A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Case Development Intake Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating and developing commercial cases, handling incoming calls from potential new clients, and ensuring the ethical and legal obligations of all subordinates.

Job Duties:

  • Investigate and develop commercial cases
  • Accept incoming calls from potential new clients (PNC’s)
  • Ascertain relevant facts and discuss all aspects of PNC’s claims
  • Secure authorization to sign up, decline, or further evaluate claims
  • Explain attorney-client contracts and sign up cases in and out of the office
  • Cover on a rotational basis for client meetings and out-of-office sign-ups
  • Provide one letter per client/month minimum to update clients on the status of their matters
  • Address/return all client calls by the end of the business day
  • Ensure 100% compliance on grade cards and maximize case values and attorney fees recovered
  • Additional projects as assigned, ensuring strong initiative and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • JD must be licensed in Texas and good standing
  • 0-3 years of Personal Injury experience
  • Strong commitment to client service and excellent writing skills
  • Working on cross-functional teams and previous customer service/sales experience preferred
  • Previous experience supervising non-attorneys
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing

  • Detail-oriented with effective communication and delegation abilities
  • Customer service-oriented with high emotional intelligence and energy
  • Sales skills with the ability to relate the unique features and benefits of the law firm
