Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated Divorce And Family Law Attorney to join their Chevy Chase, MD team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to providing excellent client service, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

Job Details:

• Engaging with diverse clients, even in uncomfortable scenarios, is crucial.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Understand and fulfill individual client needs, ensuring an unparalleled client experience.
• Attend mediations, court hearings, and trials.
• Handle divorce and family law cases, including but not limited to custody, support, and property division matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
• Stay abreast of developments in family law and related areas of practice.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of family law experience, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years.
• Licensed to practice law in Maryland with no pending or past disciplinary actions.
• DC license is a plus.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience in conducting hearings and trials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (preferred).
