Job Title: Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in workers' compensation law, focusing on file review, legal analysis, trial preparation, and client representation. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing cases.

Duties:

  • Conduct thorough file reviews and legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims
  • Perform extensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs
  • Maintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hours
  • Represent clients at depositions and hearings regularly
  • Prepare for trials, including witness preparation and evidence gathering
  • Retain and evaluate expert witnesses as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation law; experience in other practice areas is a plus
  • . degree from an ABA-approved law school
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania; admission in other states is advantageous
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid research abilities and exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Prompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiries
  • Excellent client skills and a professional telephone manner
