KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Manager with experience in international tax to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to join one of the world's top tax firms and work with high-profile clients on complex business opportunities and challenges. The Manager will be responsible for providing tax planning advice to multinational enterprises and assisting with the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions. They will also work with colleagues in Mergers & Acquisition Tax and provide tax advice to alternative investment companies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working on international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning engagements, as well as a Bachelor's degree (with a master's or LLM preferred) and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities:

- Direct multinational enterprises on business decisions, such as location and operations, entity choice, supply chain optimization, and capital mobilization, while considering tax risk profile, effective tax rate, and cash posture
- Advise clients on tax planning decisions, taking into account short- and long-term considerations and consequences at a global level
- Structure tax aspects of private equity and strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs, and provide tax opinions and memos
- Assist with tax provision for financial statements and compliance work, and review financial reporting of tax implications from global operations and transactions
- Guide clients on income tax treaty planning opportunities for cross-border investing and trading activities
- Provide tax advice to alternative investment companies at all stages of the investment life cycle
- Develop and deepen client relationships and expand KPMG's presence in global markets

Qualifications:

- Minimum five years of experience in international, mergers and acquisitions, and/or federal tax planning
- Bachelor's degree (with a master's or LLM preferred) and relevant certifications (CPA, EA, JD/LLM)
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic tax law provisions
- Excellent research and writing skills, as well as proficiency in Excel and oral communication
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and maintain professionalism and client service
- Strong business development skills and ability to work with both . and . KPMG teams

Salary Range: $91900 - $206500 (varies by location)
