Position Summary:

- Remote position with occasional in-person court appearances and hearings/trials in the surrounding area
- Provides legal representation to insureds and the company in personal injury lawsuits
- Prepares legal documentation, advises clients, and serves as a technical resource for the department
- Coordinates work assignments and supervises legal personnel
- Must have a law degree and admission to the Bar in the state(s) where practicing
- 4 years of defense or personal injury experience required, with 1 year of supervisory experience preferred

Education and Experience:

- Completion of a graduate law degree from an accredited program
- Admission to the Bar in the state(s) where practicing
- 4 years of defense or personal injury experience, with 1 year of supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance and tort laws
- Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage cases and evaluate potential exposure for settlement, arbitration, and trial
- Effective supervision and direction of legal personnel
- Independent judgment and good organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of work time
