KPMG, a leading provider of audit, tax, and advisory services, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Executive Director to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) as an Associate General Counsel. In this role, you will provide legal support to our Litigation group, specifically on the Practice Protection Team. Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel on a variety of civil litigation matters, including cases where the firm is a party or subject to third-party subpoenas
• Represent KPMG and its professionals in civil litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations
• Develop and implement strategies to successfully defend litigation claims and regulatory investigations
• Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel and other members of OGC to ensure high-quality legal representation
• Report to and consult with senior leadership on litigation and regulatory matters
• Assist in financial projections for supervised matters

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
• JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the .
• Experience with complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms, professional organizations, or financial institutions is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple litigations and projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work
• Strong strategic thinking skills, ethical standards, and integrity
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and client service skills
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion

Salary Information:

• Salary range: $331,000 - $737,000 in California (varies by location)
• Salary determined based on skills, experience, and market considerations
