A prestigious law firm located in Quincy, MA, is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Closing Associate Attorney to bolster its legal team. With a primary focus on commercial real estate transactions, this role calls for a candidate with a strong legal background and a proven track record in the field. The firm places particular emphasis on the ability to bring in a minimum of 10 portable closings per month, as well as expertise in titles and real estate closings. Candidates with prior experience in handling commercial real estate closing clients will be given preference.
The successful candidate will shoulder a range of responsibilities in this role. These duties encompass conducting exhaustive legal research and due diligence, performing thorough title examinations, and expertly drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial real estate contracts, including purchase agreements and leases. The Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in representing clients throughout the commercial real estate closing process, ensuring that all legal prerequisites are met and that transactions are executed seamlessly. Furthermore, they will be expected to provide legal counsel on complex issues, such as zoning, land use, and environmental matters relevant to commercial real estate.
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school and possess an active license to practice law in the state of Massachusetts. The ideal candidate should bring at least 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a specific focus on commercial real estate law. Strong knowledge of Massachusetts real estate regulations, zoning laws, and land use policies is essential, as is proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and negotiation. Exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to handle multiple closings simultaneously are also highly valued. Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar Association or an equivalent bar association is required.
