As a Tax Manager in Trade Advisory Services at RSM, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries, providing valuable advice and solutions on import and export matters. You will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple client engagements, identifying compliance risks and cost-saving opportunities, and coaching and developing staff. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $112,100 to $243,800, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities: - Provide advice to clients on import and export matters in various industries. - Research, analyze, and present solutions on complex . and international customs, tariffs, and trade issues. - Identify and communicate compliance risks and cost-saving opportunities. - Manage and deliver multiple client engagements, adhering to tight timelines and budgets. - Build and maintain relationships to generate workflow and develop project portfolio. - Engage with clients to support practice growth initiatives and ensure satisfaction. - Provide performance feedback and coaching to develop staff. - Work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver services. - Identify additional opportunities for value-added services. - May be required to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. - Minimum of six years of import/export experience in a professional services firm, law firm, corporate, or government setting. - One of the following: active Customs Broker License, empowered official, JD with Bar exam, CPA, or Master's degree in related field. - Strong technical knowledge in export controls and sanctions, customs valuation, classification, origin, marking, entry, Incoterms, and trade agreements. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Fluency in English required, proficiency in another major language preferred. - Experience in international tax, state and local tax, VAT, internal audit, or transfer pricing is a plus.
