A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with a background in consumer protection and/or civil Medicaid fraud government investigations and litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a state Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on consumer protection and Medicaid fraud matters.
  • Assist in government investigations and civil litigation related to consumer protection and Medicaid fraud.
  • Work closely with partners firm-wide on a variety of legal matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for litigation proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage case files and documents, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Provide support on other practice areas and matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Background in consumer protection and/or civil Medicaid fraud investigations and litigation.
  • Experience working for a state Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection preferred.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admission to the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice, and in good standing.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice, and in good standing.
