A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will have a background in gaming regulatory law, with a preference for experience representing clients in the tribal gaming space. The role requires strong advocacy skills, proficiency in case management, and a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting and arguing discovery motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Conducting legal research and analysis
  • Developing case strategies and advising clients accordingly
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and legal professionals on case matters
  • Appearing in court and representing clients during hearings and trials
  • Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Providing legal guidance and support to clients throughout the litigation process

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in a state
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in gaming regulatory law
  • Familiarity with the tribal gaming space is advantageous
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills
  • Exceptional academic credentials
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications (Preferred):

Certification in gaming law or related field is a plus
