The Tax Manager/Director plays a crucial role in the success of CLA by providing technical expertise to our clients and colleagues in the healthcare industry. With a focus on partnership tax, this individual will be responsible for in-charge complex tax engagements, responding to tax questions, researching difficult tax issues, and providing tax planning and structuring recommendations. They will also have the opportunity to lead internal education sessions and stay up-to-date on industry developments to provide valuable insights and strategies to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

In-charge complex tax engagements for healthcare clients
Provide technical guidance on US partnership tax, tax reporting forms, and procedures
Respond to tax questions from colleagues and clients
Research and analyze difficult tax issues
Offer tax planning and structuring recommendations
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and provide education to colleagues
Understand and apply complex operating agreements and waterfall calculations
Maintain partner capital accounts
Lead internal webcasts and education sessions for industry-specific purposes

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in an accounting or law firm
Extensive knowledge of US partnership taxation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification (EA or JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA)
Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply to various situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
