Salary: $77,070 to $175,500 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Experience: 2+ years in federal partnership tax, previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred

Position Summary:

- Seeking experienced tax specialists frustrated with traditional tax compliance roles
- Opportunity to work with large-scale operating partnership tax clients and diverse industries
- Develop cutting-edge technology for partnership tax, data analytics, and user experience
- Assist clients with public offering transactions and interact with external counsel and underwriters
- Refine skillset and expand industry experience through various industries such as private equity, healthcare, and technology
- Participate in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process and technology innovation

The Team:

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP
- NFTS service offerings developed through tax planning ideas, marketplace drivers, and technological innovations
- Entrepreneurial and work-hard/play-hard mentality
- NFTS service lines provide tax planning for largest organizations across all industries

The Role:

- Senior on Partnership Solutions Group, Operational Partnership Services (OPS) team
- Counsel privately-held and publicly-traded partnerships on federal tax and issues involving Up-C, mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs
- Industries served include private equity, real estate, telecom, healthcare, energy, and financial services
- Develop an understanding of public monetization transactional process, including tax receivable agreements

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
- Aptitude in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, PMP, or CFA

Preferred:

- Advanced degree (MST, JD, LLM)
- Transaction and M&A experience
- Alteryx experience
