This role will be responsible for overseeing corporate policy management, providing general legal support to all business units, and assisting in the maturation of First Tech's Privacy Program. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school, admission to practice law in at least one state, and a minimum of 6 years of legal experience in related fields. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the credit union's Enterprise Governance and Legal Affairs department - Assist in the maturation of First Tech's Privacy Program - Partner with General Counsel in managing pending or threatened litigation - Provide counsel on proposed, new, or existing retail loan and account products and services - Partner with outside counsel in civil actions - Draft, review, and revise legal documents - Stay informed of legislation, regulations, and legal developments affecting federal credit unions and the financial services industry - Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations - Advise business units on NCUA, CFPB, and other consumer regulatory compliance matters - Develop and perform internal assessments/auditing strategies - Conduct investigations regarding policy or conduct violations - Perform other duties as assigned by General Counsel Requirements: - Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school - Admission to practice law and in good standing with at least one State Bar in the United States - Minimum 6 years of legal experience in related fields - Significant experience with federal and state consumer credit laws and regulations - Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects - Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills - Ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team responsible for legal activities Location and Compensation: The position is located in Hillsboro, OR and offers a hybrid work schedule. The target compensation for this role is $180,000 to $200,000 per year, plus an annual bonus.
