Duties:

• Conducting environmental due diligence on transactions
• Handling environmental litigation cases
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and obtaining permits
• Managing cleanup projects
• Providing legal counsel on land use matters
• Advising on SEQRA (State Environmental Quality Review Act) compliance
• Handling zoning issues
• Offering legal guidance on municipal law matters
• Providing legal support for energy projects
• Advising on environmental and land use aspects of renewable energy projects

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in environmental due diligence, litigation, regulatory compliance, permitting, cleanup projects, land use, SEQRA, zoning, and municipal law matters
• Knowledge of energy projects, particularly renewable energy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission upon hiring
