Tax Senior - National Federal Tax Services - Partnership Solutions Group
- Salary range: $77,070 to $175,500 (depending on skills and experience)

Position Summary

- Tax specialist with experience in federal/tax and partnership tax compliance
- Opportunity to work with large-scale operating partnership tax clients
- Exposure to a variety of industries including private equity, healthcare, tech, financial products, and more
- Work with clients experiencing public offerings and interact with external counsel, underwriters, and capital market professionals
- Develop cutting-edge technology focused on . federal income tax principles for partnership tax, data analytics, and user experience
- Implement strategic tax structures and processes for clients
- Opportunity to participate in marketplace activities, recruiting, and process and technology innovation
- Identify service opportunities, manage client accounts, and advance Deloitte initiatives

- National Federal Tax Services (NFTS) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax LLP
- NFTS offers a variety of tax services developed from tax planning ideas, marketplace drivers, or technological innovations
- Entrepreneurial and work-hard/play-hard mentality
- NFTS service lines provide tax planning for the largest organizations across all industries
- Operational Partnership Services (OPS) is a part of the Partnership Solutions Group within NFTS
- OPS professionals counsel privately-held and publicly-traded partnerships on federal tax and issues involving Up-C, mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and more
- Industries served include private equity, real estate, telecom, technology, healthcare, media & entertainment, energy, retail, and financial services

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model requiring in-person collaboration 2-3 days per week
- 2+ years of experience in federal partnership tax
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and Visio
- Experience in a fast-paced, team environment
- Demonstrated research skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on client needs and industry sectors
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office (if eligible)
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as master’s in science of tax (MST), JD, or LLM
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
- Transaction and M&A experience
- Experience with Alteryx technology
