A law firm in Chicago is currently seeking a skilled Private Equity Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in private equity and M&A. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills, along with a strong attention to detail. The role involves drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other transaction documents for private equity fund and portfolio company clients. The candidate should have a background in large firms and experience working with private equity sponsors.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents.
  • Meet day-to-day requirements of private equity fund and portfolio company clients.
  • Demonstrate excellent academic credentials and prior large firm experience with private equity sponsors.
  • Utilize strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of private equity and M&A experience.
  • Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Prior large firm experience with private equity sponsors.

 

Education:

Law degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
