Tax Manager - Investment Management - Private Equity Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

Position Summary:

- Exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our growing team and be a part of the largest growth area in the tax industry
- Seeking candidates with experience in partnership taxation, team leadership, and advising on tax and business issues

Responsibilities:

- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to investment management clients
- Perform high-level reviews of tax research, partnership work papers, allocations, and tax filings
- Prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and advisory projects related to tax planning opportunities and implications
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Act as lead client-contact roles and handle billing and profitability analysis
- Involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model and ability to travel up to 25%
- 5+ years of experience in tax planning services, preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
- 3+ years of experience in investment management or partnership taxation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office or other accreditations such as Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Preferred:

- Previous Big 4 experience or large CPA firm equivalent
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Information:

- The wage range for this role takes into account various factors such as skills, experience, and certifications
- A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $169,650
