A law firm is seeking an Attorney II in Bryan, TX. The attorney will handle various legal aspects, including client meetings, motion work, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial representation. The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, trial skills, and a high level of aggression on behalf of clients. Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss legal matters and provide counsel.
  • Conduct motion work, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients in mediations and negotiate settlements.
  • Prepare for and conduct trials on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain a high level of aggression on behalf of clients.
  • Demonstrate stellar client interface skills.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Display strong negotiation skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • State Bar certification in Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury law (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

 

Certifications:

  • State Bar certification in Texas.
  • Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization preferred.
