Key Responsibilities:
- Represents insured and the company in defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases
- Conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, and depositions
- Reviews new file assignments, approves initial pleadings, and develops strategy
- Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions
- Prepares witnesses and clients for legal proceedings
- Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings
- Investigates and pursues subrogation litigation
- Drafts post-trial motions
- Prepares and conducts court appearances
- Manages a heavy caseload
- Collaborates with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants
- Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Periodically lifts in excess of 20 pounds throughout the day
- Drives to various court proceedings and meetings, potentially covering a distance of 40-50 miles daily
- Utilizes computer skills, budget management skills, and project management skills
- Has a Juris Doctorate degree and 5 or more years of related experience
- Does not have any supervisory responsibilities

Juris Doctorate and Member in Good Standing of Texas State Bar:
- Required for practicing law in Texas
- Demonstrates legal knowledge and qualifications for the role

Experience:
- 10 or more years of litigation and/or subrogation experience preferred
- 1st or 2nd chair jury trial experience preferred
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Provides a strong foundation for success in the role

Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LexisNexis, and the internet
- Necessary for completing tasks and managing caseload efficiently

Budget and Project Management Skills:
- Necessary for managing caseload and resources effectively
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities

Legal and Business Knowledge:
- Essential for understanding and navigating the legal system
- Provides a foundation for making strategic decisions and developing case strategies
