Job Title: Tax Manager, Unclaimed Property Tax; State and Local Tax (SALT)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Tax Manager with a focus on Unclaimed Property Tax to join our Multistate Tax Services group. In this role, you will work with a diverse client base and lead tax engagements to provide consulting and compliance services. You will also have access to a team of specialists and receive support from firm leadership to ensure success in your role and career.

Responsibilities:

- Provide tax consulting and compliance services to clients in a variety of industries
- Work directly with clients, manage tax engagement teams, and collaborate with specialists when needed
- Assist multi-state companies with unclaimed property matters, including audit defense, annual reporting, and developing policies and procedures
- Review and improve unclaimed property compliance processes
- Research and draft technical memoranda on unclaimed property compliance rules
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff

Qualifications:

Required:

- 5+ years of experience in state and local tax with a focus on Unclaimed Property tax
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel up to 10% for work

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Demonstrable tax knowledge in various state and local tax areas
- Previous consulting experience from a large accounting or law firm
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency in tax software and interest in learning new technology

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $95,900 to $203,060, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications. Eligibility for discretionary annual incentive programs may also be available based on individual and organizational performance.
