A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation and Labor and Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex litigation, superior academic credentials, and excellent communication skills. This position requires a deep understanding of commercial and employment litigation and managing a diverse caseload effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Manage employment litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Represent clients in administrative practices before local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Engage in ERISA litigation.
  • Defend clients in environmental and construction litigation.
  • Handle class action lawsuits, product liability, and financial services cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct depositions and witness interviews.
  • Advocate for clients in court hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations about commercial and employment litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in commercial and employment litigation.
  • Broad-based experience in complex litigation, including some of the following areas:
    • Employment litigation in state and federal courts
    • Administrative practice before local, state, and federal agencies
    • ERISA litigation
    • Defending environmental and construction litigation
    • Class actions
    • Product liability
    • Financial services work
  • An active bar license is preferred in NJ; an active PA license is preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • An active Bar license is required in NJ; an additional PA Bar license is preferred.
