A law firm in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation and possess the confidence to handle cases from complaint to trial. They should also have experience leading litigation and pre-litigation teams.

 

Duties:

  • Handle cases from complaint to trial.
  • Manage files from signup through trial.
  • Work up prelitigation files through presuit negotiations.
  • Handle litigation files from filing the lawsuit, writing discovery and depositions, to trying the case.
  • Interact regularly with clients, adjusters, staff, and other lawyers over the phone and in person.
  • Successfully lead litigation and prelitigation teams.
  • Litigate cases from beginning to end.
  • Demonstrate good work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Supervise and manage other team members.
  • Willingness to expand trial skills and knowledge.
  • Willingness to obtain board certification in truck accident law.
  • Ability to work independently yet be accountable.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to some or all Texas federal courts.
  • Pre-litigation case management and negotiation experience.
  • Experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Commercial case experience a plus.
  • Experience litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus.
  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current member of the Texas Bar in good standing.
  • 3+ years of Personal Injury litigation experience.

 

Education:

Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to some or all Texas federal courts.
