Salary Range $65,000 - $85,000 # Tax Associate - Fall 2026 ## Job Description Grant Thornton is looking for a Tax Associate to join its team in Cleveland, OH. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of entities such as corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profits. In addition, this role will be exposed to a variety of industries such as real estate, consumer industrial products, not-for-profits, and healthcare. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for tax consulting and tax return preparation duties, including tax research, tax planning, and the preparation of supporting work papers for various tax returns and tax related projects. Your primary duties will involve reviewing data input, identifying and resolving technical tax issues, and assisting in the review of tax preparation completed by our firm in India. You will also be expected to respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities, provide on-the-job training to junior staff members, and identify and carry out other projects as assigned. ## Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. You must also have a strong technical aptitude and skillset, demonstrated project management skillset including project planning and time management, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment. The minimum qualifications for this role are a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Juris Doctorate, or Tax LLM, a minimum major and overall GPA of , and completion of the necessary education hours to be eligible for CPA licensure or licensed attorney status. Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Interns also receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave, and are paid for firm holidays that fall within their internship period. Grant Thornton seasonal employees are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program. Seasonal employees may also be eligible to participate in the firm’s 401(k) savings plan and employee retirement plan in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements. Seasonal employees receive a minimum of 72 hours of paid sick leave. Grant Thornton employees may be eligible for a discretionary, annual bonus based on individual and firm performance, subject to the terms, conditions and eligibility criteria of the applicable bonus plan or program.
