A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Bryan, Texas. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for meeting with clients, handling motion work, discovery, depositions, and mediations. The ideal candidate will possess strong client interface skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law.

 

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss legal matters and provide counsel
  • Handle motion work, including drafting and arguing motions in court
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
  • Conduct depositions of parties and witnesses
  • Represent clients in mediations to negotiate settlements
  • Perform legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in personal injury law
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
  • Stellar client interface skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

 

Certifications:

  • State Bar certification in Texas
  • Board of Legal Specialization Certification preferred
