A law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to provide comprehensive legal support in various litigation matters, enforcement, and compliance issues. The ideal candidate should have 6-10 years of experience representing public companies, fund sponsors, and financial services clients in the . and throughout Asia.

 

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal support in litigation matters, including enforcement actions, investigations, and dispute resolution.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining compliance programs, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into legal matters by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent clients in arbitration proceedings, prepare legal documents, and provide strategic guidance throughout the arbitration process.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, conducting legal research to support case strategies.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, providing legal advice and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Travel to Japan as business needs arise for in-person meetings with clients.

 

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of proven legal experience.
  • Strong background in enforcement and investigation, compliance, dispute litigation, and arbitration.
  • Experience representing clients in litigation or arbitration proceedings.
  • Admission to practice in the state of New York, or eligibility to become admitted in that jurisdiction quickly.
  • Native Japanese language abilities (writing, reading, speaking).

 

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Native-level proficiency in spoken and written Japanese for effective communication with clients and counterparts.
