Director, Privacy & Data Protection - Join BDO's thriving Privacy & Data Protection (PDP) practice as a data protection and privacy subject matter expert and engagement leader. This is an exciting opportunity to work with domestic and international clients and professionals, and to develop new relationships and drive new opportunities for the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver global data protection and privacy strategies for client C-suite/board
- Build cross-cultural functionality for clients to operationalize global privacy programs
- Manage BDO USA team members and collaborate with BDO Member Firms and offshore team members
- Provide detailed information to clients on various domestic and global privacy laws
- Guide and advise team members on project budget and scheduling
- Establish new relationships to drive new opportunities for BDO
- Comply with BDO's Quality Risk Management, Data Protection, and other Frameworks
- Manage and maintain relationships with client professionals and introduce other BDO professionals
- Ensure timely and thoughtful responses to client inquiries
- Build relationships with other BDO professionals and participate in industry events
- Provide quality level services to corporate clients
- Update customer relationship management for pipeline reporting
- Review client executive reports and provide feedback
- Develop proposals and respond to RFP/RFI's
- Utilize knowledge of client needs to develop project and resource plans
- Participate in business unit, legal, IT, privacy, and governance interviews and meetings
- Proofread and edit executive reports
- Manage BDO client and BDO Partner expectations
- Mentor team members and ensure consistency and BDO standards
- Manage multiple large, complex engagements and clients
- Manage client expectations and support in-person presentations
- Support the Data Protection Officer for clients
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Act as a leader and maintain a professional attitude

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required, Master's or higher preferred
- 10+ years of consulting experience required, with 3+ years of data protection or privacy experience
- Experience working with Fortune 500 clients preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing large, complex privacy projects required
- One or more privacy certifications required
- OneTrust, TrustArc, or other privacy enabled technology solutions preferred
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, with knowledge of database systems and software development lifecycle preferred
- Multilingual capabilities preferred

Salary Information:

- California Range: $200,000 - $225,000
- Colorado Range: $200,000 - $225,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $200,000 - $225,000
- Washington Range: $200,000 - $225,000
