Job Title: Tax Manager - Financial Services - Global Information Reporting

Location: 22 different locations in the East Region, United States

Position Summary:
- Seeking a strategic and creative tax professional for a Tax Manager position in Deloitte's Business Tax Services (Federal tax) practice
- Opportunity to work on international tax regimes and contribute to global tax transparency
- Focus on financial services and products in various industries, such as banking, asset management, hedge funds, and insurance
- Manage international teams and coordinate efforts in numerous countries
- Experience in FATCA, CRS, 1042/1042-S reporting or 1099 preferred

Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory services to financial institutions on FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 and 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, and other global information reporting and withholding regimes
- Coordinate international teams to assist with compliance efforts
- Build relationships with clients and manage engagements workflow while supervising tax consultants
- Perform detailed reviews of reporting data, tax form validations, notifications, and other requirements
- Contribute to internal technology development and participate in trainings
- Educate tax consultants on the impacts of these regulations

The Team:
- Deloitte Tax LLP's Global Information Reporting team is leading the transformation and digitalization of the tax profession in the area of international tax transparency for the financial industry
- Provides services to the largest financial institutions in the world, including global banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and insurance companies
- Services range from FATCA, CRS, chapter 3 and 61 tax compliance globally, tax form validation, Qualified Intermediary and Withholding Partnerships regimes, technology development, consulting, controversy, risk management, and audit readiness

Qualifications Required:
- Ability to work within a hybrid work model (in-person and remote)
- 5+ years' experience in FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3 and 61 of the Internal Revenue Code, Qualified Intermediaries, 871 m), or other withholding and reporting regimes
- Preparation and review experience of FATCA tax returns, CRS reporting, tax form validation, and 1099 reporting
- Experience with managing teams and engagement workflows
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs
- Active accreditations such as CPA, licensed attorney, or enrolled agent preferred

Preferred:
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
