As a part of Legal Services NYC, the nation’s largest civil legal aid provider, QLS offers a unique opportunity for interns to gain hands-on experience in various legal practice areas while making a positive impact in the community. We are currently accepting applications for internships in the following programs: - Government Benefits Project - Housing Justice Project - Immigration Project - Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project - General Legal Services Responsibilities for interns will vary depending on the program, but may include: - Conducting client interviews - Investigating cases - Appearing in court and administrative proceedings with attorneys - Conducting legal research - Writing memoranda of law - Working closely with community partners - Providing Know Your Rights clinics, workshops, and legal education programs QLS is committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) for both our staff and the people we serve.
