A law firm is currently seeking a Mid-level Associate Attorney for its Boston office to join the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Protection practice. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of large law firm experience advising clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters. The candidate must have experience in compliance counseling, privacy policy development and implementation, cyber-incident response, data breach notification, regulatory investigations, and litigation. The candidate should be able to assume an appropriate level of responsibility, possess strong research, analytical, and presentation skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a team and on fast-paced matters. Superior academic credentials are a prerequisite. The Mid-level Associate Attorney will be an integral part of the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Protection practice, handling a range of legal matters related to cybersecurity and privacy. The role requires a candidate with experience in compliance counseling, privacy policy development, cyber-incident response, data breach notification, regulatory investigations, and litigation.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters.
  • Provide compliance counseling to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement privacy policies for clients.
  • Handle cyber-incident response and assist with data breach notifications.
  • Represent clients in regulatory investigations related to cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Work on litigation matters pertaining to cybersecurity and data protection.
  • Assume an appropriate level of responsibility within the practice group.
  • Collaborate with team members on fast-paced legal matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school.
  • Active Bar membership in the state of Massachusetts.
  • 2+ years of large law firm experience advising clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters.
  • Experience in compliance counseling, privacy policy development, cyber-incident response, data breach notification, regulatory investigations, and litigation.

 

Skills:

  • Strong research, analytical, and presentation skills.
