While we would like to be able to place all qualified applicants, it is not possible. We recommend that students submit their applications as early as possible. The OAG will not consider applicants who submit applications after the deadline. We will review applications, and will contact applicants who are selected for an interview. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly by the intern coordinator or designee. Please do not call the OAG to inquire about the status of your application or to schedule an interview. If you are selected for an interview, we will require you to complete a supplemental application and provide a writing sample. You will be notified if you have been selected for an internship. Florida Attorney General's Internship Program - Application deadlines are June 30 for fall internships, January 31 for summer internships (extended to March 1 for 2024), and September 30 for spring internships. - Criminal and Capital Appeals Division represents and defends State prosecutions in all criminal appeals in state and federal courts. - Internship opportunities are primarily for law students. - Open to students enrolled in an accredited ABA law school. - Offers unpaid internships for academic credit or through participation in law school sponsored programs. - Must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week. - Number and locations of internships are based on agency need. - Must complete and submit appropriate application packet prior to deadline. - 2nd and 3rd year law students may be required to provide a writing sample during interview. - Background screening and security check required. - Must be a . citizen or legally authorized to work in the . - Criminal history information must be reported. - Selection process is competitive and not all qualified applicants will be accepted. - Applicants will be contacted directly if selected for an interview. - Selected interns will be required to complete a supplemental application and provide a writing sample.
