New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks senior labor and employment advice and counsel attorney with 7+ years of experience. The candidate will be focussing on employment and labor law compliance, advice, and counsel. Will be providing business-minded advice and counsel to employers (in the for-profit and non-profit sectors) on all aspects of employment and labor law covering the life-cycle of employment, from recruiting and hiring through separation from employment. Drafting and assisting in the negotiation of employment agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, independent contractor agreements, settlement and separation agreements, and other employment-related agreements and documents. Preparing and updating employee handbooks and policies for non-union and union employees and for employees throughout the United States. Preparing employment-related forms for HR use and guiding clients regarding employee matters, including handling internal investigations, leaves of absence, and requests for accommodations. Conducting training and webinars on harassment prevention and other areas of employment law compliance. Preparing and assisting with the preparation of client alerts and legal updates. Reviewing and updating forms and templates based on legal updates and changes on a 50-state basis. Conducting employment-related risk assessments (including wage and hour assessments) and advising on steps to address compliance issues. Must have experience with advising and counseling employers with employees throughout the United States regarding a full range of employment matters.
