## Associate Family Law Attorney The Law Office of Emily A. Jones, LLC is a boutique law firm specializing in family law and criminal defense. We focus on maintaining a healthy work/life balance for our attorneys and support staff. We are a digital-first law firm that utilizes the latest technology to make our job easier and improve the client experience. Our positions are work from home and highly flexible, with rare exception. We have an open door policy and provide ample training and mentorship to ensure our employees feel supported from day one. We are now seeking an Associate Family Law Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage family law matters from intake to hearing and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, and advocating for clients in court. **Responsibilities:** - Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation, and forming a strategy and a plan of action - Manage full case responsibilities from inception through resolution - Prepare clients and cases for hearings, court conferences, mediations, and trials - Appear in court to represent clients and ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings - Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current - Interact with clients and work with experts **Qualifications:** - - Must reside in the state of Colorado and be a licensed attorney in the state of Colorado - Prior family law experience is a plus, but not required - Public Defender or District Attorney experience is highly desired, although also not required - Experience preparing and arguing motions, attending court hearings, preparing cases for trial and hearing, and experience researching and drafting briefs and motions - Strong communication and interpersonal skills **Benefits:** - Competitive salary starting at $100,000 per year - Employer-provided and employer-paid Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Health Insurance for employees - Cell phone and laptop provided - Free, Employer-provided Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Courses - 401k Plan - Annual Attorney Registration Fees paid by Firm - Ample training and mentorship - Flexible work schedule - work remotely or in-office as you prefer
