A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with the following responsibilities, requirements, and qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination. They will represent employers in various legal proceedings, offer pre-litigation advice, and act as a strategic partners to clients on employment law matters.

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
  • Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Provide clients with pre-litigation and litigation avoidance advice, including strategic guidance to meet client’s employee retention and recruitment objectives.
  • Act as a business partner to clients on employment law issues.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 3+ years of experience, with a strong background in employment law preferred.
  • Current Massachusetts Bar admission or ability to obtain admission, admission in ME, RI, or VT a plus.
  • Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.
  • Interest in being a team member with a positive “can-do” approach in a deeply collaborative environment.
