A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience, exceptional academic credentials, and strong research and writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance litigation, and experience with Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies is a plus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients in litigation matters, with a focus on insurance litigation.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in all phases of the litigation process, from case initiation to trial.
• Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop legal strategies.
• Assist in preparing and attending depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Analyze insurance policies, including CGL policies, to determine coverage and liabilities.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in insurance litigation.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of legal experience as an Associate Attorney.
• Superior academic credentials and a strong academic record.
• Background in insurance litigation.
• Experience with Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies is a plus.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Active Bar admission in Illinois is preferred.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in any . state.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
