Job Overview:

The Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling substantive court appearances and representing creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, landlords, and trade creditors in bankruptcy matters. The ideal candidate will have previous bankruptcy experience in a law firm, top academic credentials, strong analytical abilities, excellent client-relations skills, and the ability to work well on a team.

Duties:

• Represent creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, landlords, and trade creditors in bankruptcy matters
• Handle substantive court appearances
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft legal documents and pleadings
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Collaborate with team members on case strategy

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of experience in bankruptcy law
• Previous bankruptcy experience in a law firm
• Top academic credentials
• Strong analytical abilities
• Excellent client-relations skills
• Ability to work well on a team

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar
