Tax Senior - Real Estate Tax (East Region Office Locations)

- Salary: $63,420 to $144,300
- Job Title: Senior Tax Consultant

Position Summary

- Serve clients in partnerships, Subchapter K, and REITs

Work You'll Do

- Provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for various entities and their affiliates
- Responsibilities include performing detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns, as well as preparing materials and research for consulting projects

The Team

- Global leaders in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry
- Works with clients to address critical issues brought on by regulatory changes, competition, globalization, technology advancements, and changing customer demands
- Comprised of over 2,800 partners, managers, and staff, providing a spectrum of services to a broad range of Investment Management companies

Qualifications

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model that requires in-person co-location 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing client work papers and income tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and tax compliance process for real estate funds
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average
- Active accreditations or willingness to obtain: CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills

Salary Information

- Wage range takes into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs
- Range estimate not adjusted for geographic differential
- Typical for individuals to be hired below the top of the range and compensation decisions based on individual circumstances
- Reasonable estimate of current range: $63,420 to $144,300

Annual Incentive Program

- Eligible to participate in discretionary annual incentive program
- Award dependent on various factors, including individual and organizational performance
