A law firm based in Tallahassee is seeking a Lateral Special Districts Associate Attorney. The attorney will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients and supervising attorneys, managing multiple matters simultaneously, and completing tasks efficiently and professionally. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to learn new legal topics and factual subject matters as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting and negotiating transaction documentation and an interest in government law and transactional practice.

 

Duties:

  • Communicate competently and professionally with clients and supervising attorneys
  • Manage multiple matters and tasks simultaneously, completing them efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Learn new substantive legal topics and factual subject matters as needed
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and matter management skills
  • Collaborate professionally with partners, associates, and support staff
  • Work effectively with large working groups as part of a transaction team
  • Draft and negotiate a wide variety of transaction documentation

 

Requirements:

  • Law Degree (Juris Doctor) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
  • Admitted to the Florida Bar Association
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating transaction documentation
  • Interest in government law and transactional practice

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar Association

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Organizational and matter management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to learn new legal topics and factual subject matters
