Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for drafting legal briefs, preparing pleadings, conducting legal research, and participating in various aspects of litigation. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills and be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

  • Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
  • Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
  • Prepare and argue motions.
  • Perform legal research and writing.
  • Participate in depositions.
  • Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
  • Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Independently manage cases.
  • Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Respond to administrative charges.
  • Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 Years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Outstanding academic record and civil litigation experience are strongly preferred.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky and/or Indiana.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Kentucky and/or Indiana State Bar Association.
