A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to focus on case strategy and professional development. The candidate will handle various personal injury matters in litigation, attend court hearings and mediations, and receive mentorship from senior attorneys.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of various types of personal injury matters in litigation.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including filing complaints.
  • Draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions throughout the course of litigation.
  • Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Attend court appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
  • Direct and support investigation on all assigned litigation matters.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of Personal Injury Law experience.
  • Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with CA State Bar is required.
  • Workers Compensation experience is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Current good standing with CA State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Experience taking, defending, and preparing for depositions.
  • Interest in attending court hearings and mediations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
