Position Summary:
- Seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to handle legal work on assigned insurance defense cases in Kemper's Doral, FL office location

Position Responsibilities:
- Aggressively pursues files referred to Staff Counsel by the Claims Department
- Develops and maintains a documented strategy for case handling in each assigned case
- Organizes and maintains document files consisting of pleadings, briefs and memorandums
- Provides timely status reports to claims handlers on all significant activities
- Ensures all files are properly documented and organized
- Provides prompt and timely responses to all communication
- Utilizes case management software for maintaining notes, diary, calendar, billing, etc.
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience as a trial attorney
- Handling of insurance defense work preferred
- Member of the State Bar, maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing education requirements
- Required to travel as needed
- Must complete 4-6 weeks of training in office and transition to a hybrid schedule post-training
