Position Summary:

The Assistant General Counsel (AGC) will serve as a generalist within the Office of the General Counsel at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). In this role, the AGC will provide legal support to all levels and groups within the organization to advance CHLA's mission, minimize liability, and ensure compliance with laws and guidelines. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced attorney with a track record of providing proactive, solution-oriented advice on a variety of legal and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and regulatory guidance to stakeholders on a broad range of issues related to healthcare law
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision making and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Manage legal projects and prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement legal strategies
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective legal support
• Stay current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to CHLA and advise on potential impact or opportunities for the organization
• Assist in the management of litigation and other legal matters as needed

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from a reputable law school
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a nationally recognized law firm or as in-house counsel
• Strong background in healthcare law preferred
• Experience in healthcare regulatory or litigation is a plus
• Excellent academic credentials

Pay Scale Information:

The pay scale for this position ranges from $160,784 to $260,333 per year, and final determination will be based on factors such as education and experience. CHLA offers a competitive compensation package and a robust benefits program to meet the needs of its employees.
