A law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Surety Attorney to join its nationally recognized Construction and Surety Group in Morristown, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 1-8 years of experience handling surety matters and must be admitted to the Bar in NY and/or NJ.
Duties:
- Represent clients in surety-related matters, including contract claims, litigations, and transactions.
- Provide legal counsel and support on complex surety issues and disputes.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in the construction and surety industry.
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to surety bonds.
- Manage and negotiate settlements, if required, to resolve surety-related disputes.
- Collaborate with the Construction and Surety Group to strategize and provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Requirements:
- 1-8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on surety matters.
- Bar admission in New York (NY) and/or New Jersey (NJ).
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contract claims, and surety bonds.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
