Summary:

Deloitte is hiring a Senior Tax Manager for their Business Tax Services practice, with a focus on Corporate Tax in the Central Region. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build new client relationships and contribute to the growth of the tax practice. You will work with a team of specialists and have access to innovative technology to align tax strategies with business objectives. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research. The ideal candidate will also have an active accreditation, such as a CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications like CFA or CFP. The ability to travel up to 25% is required.

Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Experience: 8+ years

Salary Range: $119,490 to $238,680

Location: Central Region Office Locations (29 locations available)

Recruiting Ends: June 1, 2025

Responsibilities:

- Identify effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industries
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
- Leverage Deloitte's range of services and resources to meet client needs and cross-sell among various lines of service
- Act as a trusted business advisor to clients on federal tax planning, compliance, restructuring, and controversy
- Manage engagement profitability, billings, and team resources
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients
- Provide leadership and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research
- Active accreditation, such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications like CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Advanced degree and previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred
- Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business
- Solid management experience
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills
