A law firm in Hamilton, NJ, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and assisting a team in litigating nursing home malpractice cases and growing the practice. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients, handle depositions, draft legal documents, and research legal issues. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Plaintiff’s Nursing Home or Medical Malpractice litigation and be licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey.

Duties:

  • Handle a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with limited oversight.
  • Work directly with clients, including conducting depositions, drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, and researching legal issues for briefs and pleadings.
  • Review medical records and discovery materials.
  • Evaluate and analyze the merits of claims effectively.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to clients, requiring excellent communication skills.
  • Negotiate, settle, litigate, and try cases when necessary.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work within a deadline-driven practice.
  • Collaborate as part of a team and demonstrate the interpersonal skills to interact directly with clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Plaintiff’s Nursing Home or Medical Malpractice litigation experience.
  • State of New Jersey bar admission and license to practice law.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, writing, research, and negotiation skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing license to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload with limited oversight.
