Lead Counsel (Meta Business Group) - Austin, TX Menlo Park, CA Seattle, WA Washington, DC New York, NY Chicago, IL

Meta, a leading technology company, is seeking a dynamic team player to join their team as Lead Counsel for their Ad Sales Legal department. This role will provide strategic legal support to Meta's Global Business Group and Small Business Group Americas sales teams. The ideal candidate will have a . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar, along with 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a frontline legal advisor to the Americas Sales teams, supporting large and small advertisers leveraging Meta's suite of advertising and business tools
- Develop resources, trainings, and guidance to address legal, regulatory, compliance, and policy inquiries from Sales and advertisers
- Analyze product terms, policies, and initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions in the Americas
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support Sales and advertiser communications and go-to-market launches
- Coordinate with Legal teams across Privacy, Competition, Regulatory, Litigation, Compliance, Integrity, and Employment to achieve Global Business Group and Small Business Group goals and objectives

Minimum Qualifications:
- . degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one . state bar
- 5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney (including at a law firm or in-house experience)
- Knowledge of legal frameworks for data-driven advertising, including regulations and restrictions
- Experience advising on legal and regulatory issues related to online advertising, mobile platforms, social networking, or other technologies
- Ability to manage legal risk across multiple jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile application development, software development, machine learning, or other internet technologies
- Prior in-house experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- Experience collaborating with all levels of the business, including executive and C-suite

Salary Information:
- Base salary: $167,000/year to $233,000/year
